Zenithwings is one of the national companies that will be present at the next MIT Flagship Projects Meeting to present the Industry 4.0 project, OPERATOR.
Counting with the presence of the Minister and the President of FCT (the Portuguese funding agency for science, research and technology), this meeting will take place on September 21st, at 4 pm, in Guimarães, and will aim at following the development and execution of MIT Portugal Program Flagship projects.
The MPP Flagship Projects are co-promotion initiatives led by Portuguese companies in partnership with research institutions and Portuguese universities as well as research groups at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In April 2020 the program selected 4 Research and Development projects covering the areas of Digital Transformation in Manufacturing and Sustainable Cities, among which is OPERATOR.
OPERATOR is a project aiming to promote digital transformation in Industry with a focus on Operator 4.0. Zenithwings leads OPERATOR with the collaboration of Institute for Medical Engineering and Science at MIT, Fraunhofer Portugal, Volkswagen Autoeuropa, NST Apparel, the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the University of Porto, University of Minho, LIBPhys and Controconsul.
At the meeting, OPERATOR will be represented by Catarina Pinto, R&I Manager at Zenithwings and by Professor Miguel Carvalho from the University of Minho, who will present the concept, the vision, the advantages, the main methods of execution, the impact, the resources and also the expected results of the project.
Considering the current conditions caused by the pandemic, the meeting will count with a small number of guests and will be organised with all the necessary restrictions and measures to guarantee the safety of all participants.
OPERATOR is supported by MIT Portugal under the 2019 Open Call (04/SI/2019) for Flagship Projects for the research of Digital Transformation in Manufacturing.
